JRB Auto a breif history

Hi there, my name is James and I established JRB Auto in 2009. The inspiration for my business began when I was working for a boss who didn’t appreciate the hard work that I put into his workshop. Despite this, I had accumulated a significant amount of regular work from friends and family who trusted me to keep their vehicles in excellent condition. To ensure that I could continue to provide them with the best service, I began to do the work from home each night after a full day working for my boss. Fortunately, a friend from school allowed me to use his single car garage to operate from, even though it was a bit cramped, we made it work.

After approximately a year and a half, I quit my job, had hired some staff, and had a steady stream of customers. However, things took a turn for the worse when the local council threatened to fine me $14,000 if I didn’t remove my equipment and business from the garage. It was a sink-or-swim moment, and I had to make a choice.

It was a scary situation, but I sold all three cars I owned, including my pride and joy, and worked tirelessly to ensure the success of JRB Auto. I invested almost all of my savings in the business, which was a huge risk. I remember thinking of all the overhead costs I have just taken on and how I have about a month to make it work or I am done and out on my backside. But I knew that providing exceptional service and doing the right thing by my customers would pay off.

Finding the right people to join my team was the next big challenge. I knew that the success of my business depended on hiring individuals who had integrity, exceptional skills, a strong work ethic, and were all-around good people.

Today, you may see JRB Auto stickers on cars all around town and even further out. To us, the little number plate sticker is a badge of honor that confirms a job well done. It doesn’t have any contact information; it simply lets others know that we’re proud to have worked on that particular vehicle and to have that person as a customer.

The entire JRB Auto team is made up of highly skilled individuals who possess excellent moral character and feel like family to me. I’m so proud of these people, and I’m grateful that they’re the ones who are providing our customers with incredible service.
